SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

The Hungarian Medical Association of America-Hungary (HMAA-HC) organizes an annual summer conference for undergraduate students (medical, dental, pharmacy, sports science), residents, doctoral students and medical specialists. During the conference, Hungarian medical students and young doctors have the opportunity to learn about the HMAA Buffalo and Houston Exchange Program (advertised for sixth-year students) and meet students who have already participated in the program. They will also have the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures given by their former and current peers, as well as renowned Hungarian and foreign doctors and professors. The multidisciplinary conference, with its very friendly atmosphere, offers a great opportunity for medical students to have informal discussions with professors and doctors working in the United States. Presentations in English and Hungarian will be available at the conference. The best presentations will be awarded by the HMAA. The best presentation in English will be awarded the Ivan Krisztinicz Prize, offered by the HMAA, and the winner will be invited to attend the annual HMAA conference in Sarasota, FL, sponsored by the HMAA. The best Hungarian-language presentation will be awarded to id. Istvan Mechter Prize. Best presentations in each field will also be awarded (e.g. best presentation in neurology/surgery).

Cancellation conditions (registration fee):

If you register for the conference, you accept our cancellation policy. Online and bank transfer payments in 100% can be refunded free of charge until August 1, 2023 23:59 (CET). After that, after 2 August 2023, there is no refund fee.
The cancellation fee is HUF 9 000 per person after 1 August 2023 23:59 (CET). The cancellation fee will be charged even if you have not yet paid the registration fee. A cancellation fee will be charged if you have registered but do not attend the conference. The name change fee is HUF 6000 per person. To cancel your registration, please send your cancellation to hungary@hmaa.org to the following address.

The PTE ÁOK TDT Academic Student Circle will cover the registration fee, accommodation and travel expenses up to the available budget (max. 20 persons).

- CV, including TDK results

If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, please do not transfer the money to the organisers after uploading your abstract, the TDT will do this in a single transfer.

MET special prize:

Special award from the Hungarian Medical Association (MET) to support participation in the 2023 HMAA-HC conference in Balatonfüred.
The number of special prizes available at the Balatonfüred conference for Hungarian speakers under 35 years of age from across the border will be further expanded. The Hungarian Medical Society (MET) will award a special prize of HUF 100,000 to the first author of the presentation or poster from abroad, which is judged by the professional jury to be the most outstanding.
The prize will be presented to the winner by the MET President or his/her designee at the closing ceremony of the HMAA conference in Balatonfüred.
